Mompreneur 002: Alex Centomo

Meet Alex Centomo!

This collaboration is one that feels close to the heart. We partnered with Alex, a Canadian lifestyle creator, entrepreneur, and mama of two, to create a limited-edition butterfly print, sketched by her. For us, the butterfly symbolizes growth, transformation, and those fleeting moments of magic we get to hold onto as parents.

Bringing Alex’s sketches to life on our CloudLuxe™ bamboo felt like the perfect way to celebrate both motherhood and artistry. These pajamas are made for the in-between moments that mean everything: bedtime snuggles, Sunday mornings, and the stories that turn into memories.

We’re so excited to share this special collab with you. ✨

Read on to hear how it all came together.

Q: Tell us about the inspiration behind your butterfly sketches. What inspired you
when you were drawing them and what do butterflies symbolize to you?
Alex: The butterfly sketches were really inspired by that tender and fleeting season of new motherhood. I was in such a cocoon at the time of this design: postpartum, home with my baby, living in pajamas 24/7. Butterflies to me symbolize growth, transformation, and beauty in change, which felt so aligned with that stage of life. Especially since it had taken so much time to fall pregnant and we had so many wishes for her.

Q: What was your first impression when you saw and/or slipped into the pajamas
from this collaboration? What was it like seeing your sketches come to life?
Alex: Honestly, it felt surreal. To see something I had doodled by hand actually become part of a finished design and then slip into the pajamas with my daughter wearing the matching set... it was such a cool, full circle moment. There’s a coziness and a sweetness to them that made me feel like the sketches truly came to life!

Q: What does bedtime look like at your house? Any night time routines or rituals
that help wind down your littles?
Alex: Bedtime is one of my favourite times of the day. My husband and I take turns putting our kids to bed. One night I will do my daughter, and the next I will do my son. It gives me that one on one time with each child and I get to connect with them individually. And my husband gets the same! Usually it involves bath time, books, and snuggles (that’s the part I look forward to the most). It feels like the anchor of the day. My husband and I get to unwind together afterwards.

Q: What’s something you thought motherhood would be like vs. what it actually is
Alex: I thought motherhood would mean that I would have all the answers (and maybe that’s because I grew thinking my mom knew everything hehe). In reality, it’s messy and
unpredictable and I have no idea what I’m doing most of the time, but it’s also way more magical than I could have imagined. I didn’t realize how much the small moments (like sticky kisses, giggles, watching them discover something new, or even getting to re-live some of my childhood through them) would mean so much more than the big milestones.

Q: What’s your go-to “mom recharge” ritual — coffee, skincare, a podcast, or just a
silent 10 minutes?
Alex: Honestly, a good work out where I can get my heart rate up and sweat a bit. It does
something to my soul. I also love to walk outside in nature while listening to a podcast that makes me laugh. It doesn’t have to be anything big, just something that feels like it’s mine.

Q: What’s one memory with your kids that you hope they’ll carry forever?
Alex: I hope they’ll remember the feeling of family adventures! Our trips, hikes, and fun activities during different seasons. But even the simple ones, like a backyard BBQ or swimming in the pool together. Those moments where we’re all fully present, making memories that are playful and carefree.

Q: If your kids could describe you in three words, what do you think they would say? (and what would you hope they’d say?)
Alex: I think they’d say “silly, loving, and comfy” And I’d hope they’d say the same, but maybe add “safe” in there too, because that’s ultimately what I want to be for them.

Q: What do you hope moms feel when they dress their kids in the Sunday Littles x
Alex Centomo collab collection?
Alex: I hope they feel comfort, connection, and joy. Comfort in the softness of the pieces,
connection in those matching moments with their little ones, and joy in celebrating the sweet everyday memories that become the ones we treasure most.
